Landmark Maritime Law Decision Reported in WALL STREET JOURNAL

The Wall Street Journal - February 11, 1998
The Wall Street Journal reported on this case in which I successfully represented a shipping company, which defeated the narrow interests of insurance defense attorneys, in a lawsuit where attorneys for U.S. insurance companies were seeking to compel all foreign shipping companies to litigate claims, regarding damages to goods shipped by sea, in U.S. Courts, regardless of where the damage occurred, or the home country of the ship involved or of its owners. The court's decision, which pleased American shipping companies since it "makes American shipping companies more competitive", had significant financial implications that prompted the inclusion of this article in the The Wall Street Journal. Coast Guard's Unjustified Charges Against Marine Pilots Reported in Journal of Commerce

The Journal of Commerce - May 21, 1993
When the Coast Guard brought unjustified charges against California State Marine Pilots alleging cheating on their federal licensing tests, The Journal of Commerce reported on the case.  As the article quotes me explaining, "These aren't inexperienced people,  .  .  .  they've been sailing for years" and "They did not engage in misconduct and are not involved in a conspiracy.
